nahh pretty striaght forward stuff,

3 or 4 screws along the bottom, one half way up covered by a cap,

remove door open handle cup 1 screw,

pop off wirror/tweeter cover,

pull out the door handle thing to the rear of window switches (this can be stiff oooo errr),

pop door card off from the bottom upwards making sure not to break the clips

unclip wiring to window switches etc and red door open light.

that's bout it iirc,

and in true haynes stylie refitting is reverse of removal

Nice one - will investigate tonight. I think going by the sounds of things that the paper cone has gone.

Looking at the door there seems to be a fair depth so it should be no probs to replace them if need be.

quick comment .. fit the speaker with the window DOWN.

if the magnet is too deep, it'll cause issues. :D

Yep - thanks - found that out the hard way once before!

Right - had the doors to bits last night - they come off a darn site easier than the yaris does!

Both door Speakers were manky - they were paper cones and the rear of the speaker had rusted ... hence it was a matter of time.

Infinitys ordered for replacements to match the rears. Typical toyota though - how many Speakers do you see these days with three mounting points!? Ah well - lekkie drill and mdf time soon I think!

New Speakers arrived and in the car - what a difference!

Id recommend uprating these to any that havent - 10minute job with a screwdriver and soldering iron. One of the easiest and best mods on the car to date.

bunged some 6.5 alpines in mine :) were a mare to fit as i chose the type r's with huge mags on the back

no where near the window but the actual door apperture was too small
