Took the new face lift avensis T180 for a test drive today.What a engine 3gear is brill drop the foot from any rev range and away it goes.much quiter than my present 2.0D4D.and love the lexus style seats.

Sounds like Mr T has made an imporvement then.

I've been in a pre-facelift Avensis estate with that 2.2 D4D 180, awesome engine, loads of power! :D

noticed it was strongest if kept between 1500 and 3500rpm tho, after 3500 and the power just drops off and only gets louder :lol::unsure:

Funny you should post this as my Dad had a loan of a Rav T180 and was singing its praises the other week. He was saying how strongly it pulled and how nicely it handled as well. I know I could live with one of them :D

That said, I think my Mum's Rav D-4D will be with us for quite a while longer....
