Apexi On A Cdx

My Apexi just arrieved today and I have had a quick look on TOC, some of the pics dont make sence.

On TOC, the Apexi owner have a T-Sport or a SR but not a CDX which looks slightly different.

So I dont know what goes in what hole?

What do I remove?

where is the MAF?

Ive got one of the brackets on and the other one looks like it goes near the Battery clamp.

not sure what the engine looks like, take a pic and we'll let you know what's what and what to remove.

Im pretty sure the CDX is a different engine to the Tsport and SR - in which case the Apexi wont fit.

The Tsport and SR exhaust manifold is at the back of the engine - Im sure yours is at the front? If thats the case you need a Greddy Airinx system - not an apexi

Huh? I Always thought the CDX was a P1 running a normal P1 engine :wacko: Cant you get 1 and 1.3 CDX's and if its the 1.3 surely the same as SR?

Been told by envy that it will fit on the car, they even kept hold of the order while they double checked, gonna take some picks now, its not going to be 56k friendly

anyway the CDX engine is the same as the SR and t-sport. dicey2k has one bolted onto his CDX. one braket goes to the engine block and the other goes to one of the screw holes which the original filter box was bolted onto

Dont think its gona fit mate.

That pipe should be coming out of the bottom/front of the engine and then going to an airbox on the side of the engine.

Gutted. :(

It might be a bit difficult for me todo

Right as far as I understand - only the SR and the T-Sport have the engine where the exhaust manifold is at the back. (and all SRs are P1s)

Non SRs and T Sport P1s had either the 1.0l engine (with exhaust manifold at front) or later P1s had a 1.3 version of the same engine.

All P2s have the same engine (with exhaust manifold at front) unless they are T-Sports.

But the long and short of it is that the apexi is designed to bolt onto the SR/TSport engine only!

Saying that Ive seen some funny combinations - like Seveers SR which seeemed to have 1l rear exhaust mounts, or Earpls original airbox which was completely different to mine (before he modded it).

The greddy airinx fits,

it cost about £160

It's the same engine as what was in my phase 2 1.3

purchased the car in March 2003, and it arrieved 17th April 2003.

Why did envy say they was confident that it will fit on my car?

like i said earlier dicey2k's 1.3 cdx is the same engine as the SR and t-sport p1. that is prob the reason why envy said it would fit

Sorry to be a wee bit off topic my brother Ryan1985 has a brand new Greddy/Trust airfilter that will fit striaght on to your 1.3 and looks amazing when fitted - drop him a PM and he'll sort you out :thumbsup:

Looks like another oddball from Toyota??? :blink: If you want to return the filter I can sort you out with a re-fund or I can exchange it for a Greddy airinx which I have in stock.
