Well i had a great day yesterday at japshow :D was some great cars and some of the fastest in the UK B)

Now there were a few gen6 celica gt4's that ran the strip, and i have to say i was very dissapointed  they ran crap times... i dont know if it was just because they were being driven by old gits that cant drive or something :lol: they were running 15's etc :( My mates starlet turbo, (which ran a 13.98 @99mph) beat an st205 on a run where he even missed 2nd gear and ran his worst time :!Removed!:

Having said this i saw the fensport gen 7 celica run in the 10s B)

Also met another TOC member... 'chris.s' in his very clean st205  and i saw ken drive past in his orange avensis :)

Highlight of the day was the rocket car... ran a 6 second 1/4 mile @ 254mph :eek::eek:

And was the loudest thing i have ever heard in my life!!

Next time i hope to be taking mine down the strip.... depressing seeing all these nice cars with mine off the road :(

All in all a great day... :D

Yes it was a good day out. !Removed! hot tho.

Looked round for ages for the TOC section, then on the way out stopped and looked at the strip again on the hill and i saw afew celicas tucked away in the far corner. Thought that was all camping and parking on that side when i came in. :ffs:

Place was dominated by Supras, Pulsars and Scoobys. Its nice to know i have a car that you dont see many of though.

That Norris Designs evo had got some power. Set off sideway from the line. What was it, 800BHP.

But yes very good day out.

yeah that starlet shifts ! !Removed! hell , something nice about a car that most people without car knowledge would laugh at schoolin some bigger cars ! wolf in sheeps clothing !

Is 15 secs a normal kinda time for a stock st205 ? seems a bit slow....

Good day for it too.

who's was the white mk3 supra being ragged around the TOC pitch... all I can say you should hang your head in shame for being such a prat.

I was told the keys were left in and the Civic boys next door took advantage.. hmm not sure if I believe that as the 'showing off' happened a couple of times through the day. I noticed those in the car scarpered when the security guys in the L200 saw you.

It was from the civic sports club and was nothing to do with us, we was just as cheesed off as you whom i guess was on the Celica clubstand.

Offending Supra clearly with the civic's as the row of pole's mark the 2 stands out and ours start with the MR2's btw.

Adam, decided to nip off and watch the footie ;)

Appreciate the clearing up of the ownership - I based my comment on the 'keys' on the conversation I had with one of the TOC stand members - one of the Yaris owners who's from the Peak District.

A bit of poetic justice was observed when there was a guy sitting on the bootlid who got thrown off at a fair speed.

Happy to find it's not a TOC member now.

Im liking that Starlet alot!

And if drivers could be 'sleepers' that guy wins hands down, not exactly the sort of person Id ever imagine to be looking at on a strip

............. just before he drove off and handed me my ***** on a plate!!!!!!!!!!

Nice to see TOCers behaving like the true gents we are! Im with Jones though, stock 205's should be running quicker and Im shocked to hear otherwise.

Adam - was there any one there with a similar spec who could give you an idea of what sort of quarter time you will be looking at???

That Supra sounds like the reason someone like me won't go to an event like that, Id either end up in a fight or get done for criminal damage! Its a shame so many jap cars are owned by tools! Thats aimed at scooby owners! and obviously 1 Supra owner!

The most chav owned car near me has got to be the Vauxhall Corsa, as everyone seems to have bought one now there about 47p!

Wish he had gone over him as he was the ****** who started it all off, felt sorry for the guy whose car they did it to as they broke his power steering but soon lost that when he got in and carried on

Lost my patience in the end with the exhaust reving so went over for a quite word and never heard a peep afterwards out of them ;)

sadly no. But looking at specs on gt4oc i recon with some good driving i will get ~12 second 1/4mile... but that will be next year with the forged engine and uprated clutch (+then increased boost to produce 420bhp)

This year i recon i should run ~13 (stock clutch and 360bhp)

Gonna have to start looking at a new diff aswell, when i go to 420bhp next year i recon it wont last long :(

And i know what you mean about how he looks... hes a skater and is only 19. I would cry if i had a 420bhp skyline and i lost to that starlet, but the little $hits are fast!!!

Car cost him 3k and he spent 1.3k modding it, and its now running 203.3bhp @ only 0.8bar

Its such a cheap car to mod as you can just put a standard scooby wrx turbo on it (td04) and they can be brought for about £80 on eBay

so stock ST205's run 14sec dead then?

Sounds about right as the MR2 tubby rev 3 runs 13.6 stock.. I got 13.5 in my old tubby with just an induction kit and the boost upped from 13 to 15.5psi. :)

If it had a better driver it would have been quicker as it was my first time on the strip.
