Yaris Jack And Wheel Brace - All The Same?

GF just bought a used Yaris (2001), only to find it was missing the jack/wheel brace/eye hook/locking bolt.

Wanted to get one from scarp yard for a few quid. Rand them and he says he has loads of toyota jacks.

So question is are they the same for all toyota cars? or specific to yaris? really wanted it fit in the holder in the boot.

Anyone with a photo of a yaris jack/brace/bolt etc. would also help!!

Cheers.

Welcome to TOC.

1st the jack.. it's a standard siscor jack which is in front of the spare wheel... held in place by a little piece of elastic with a plastic hook...

On the tray you will have the tool for putiing the jack up and down, the towing eye and the wheel key (mine is 21mm) there is also a pair of pliers and a screw driver and something else which are long gone in mine.

If you can't find the standard equipment.. get a spider type wheel key and a small trolley jack.. can't go wrong.

I hope your GF enjoys her Yaris.. fantastic wee cars.. and if she gets any problems this is the best place to get help/advice.. all you need to do is ask

I think the scissor jack's standard across many Toyotas - certainly the RAV (Mk1 and Mk2) and Yaris (Mk1 P1 and Mk1 P2) jacks are pretty darned similar.

There are various sizes of wheel nut fitted depending on the wheel type on your car - get a multi spider as Davy says and then you've covered all your bases.

Let us know how you get on...

Managed to find a toyota scissor jack (silver with toyota logo) in a scrap yard- fitted perfect. - €10

Couldnt find a brace/winder to fit perfectly into the tray or holding screw for that matter. So rang toyota dealer €37 for them. wanted a small fortune for a jack!

Thanks for the help.
