Just Got New Rear Tyres

Meh... nowt compared to mine LOL :P had loads of threads showing... thing is.. had checked em the night before and they were fine.... just serious wear on insides... but hey.. thats 2 sets of tyres ago now :P

Still looks pretty nasty.. good thing its sorted hon :P

lol looks like my rear ones atm. my new ones just came today. so me thinks its time to destroy the rest of the tread on them :P

Is that a sidewall cut? :eek:

Looks more like the tread is delaminating to me... caused by general wear and tear and possibly running a little underinflated.

Meh......

The tyres I took off my MR2 looked like this.......

and it was baing driven daily in the winter with ice and the odd bit of snow ;)

yeah, i think the inside edge delaminated..

tyres were normally at the PSI they should have been - and didn't push it that hard... well, not normally...

but then they had done over 25k..

oh well, all's well that ends well..

Over 25K hmmm.. not to bad from a SP9000 i suppose (grandad driving does improove the life of the tyre though ;)), it probably started to go slightly out of shape (not really visible unless you see it spinning) which caused an overload of stress on that part of the tyre, the tread begins to slip and it delaminates from the casing.
