ok - so I've just noticed after having my FOUR for 4 and half months that I have no fog light - so is there like a spare bulb space for the extra bulb for the fogs or do I have to have one fitted? if so does anyone know where I can get one from?

Have you got a fog light switch fitted? Sometimes JDM cars have the rear lights converted so they don`t have to have those hideous add on foglights fitted.

On JDM models there are 4 brake lights, on UK models the inner 2 are used as fogs. As booster said some people rewire the inner 2 on JDM's as fogs. Get someone to check your brake lights if only the outer 2 come on then chances are the inner 2 have been converted to fogs.

If there not coming on when the switch is on first check the bulbs aren't blown then check the circuit/fuses etc.

oooh ok - I think I heard something like that thats why I was on about the spare slots

My back numberplate surround has been converted to English so maybe they did it all as one and the bulbs have just gone or something like that - I'll get it checked out

Thanks guys xxx

I have one of those "hideous add on foglights" fitted to my back bumper... but it just unplugs and unbolts and i take it off all year until the MOT, and the wire is just tucked away.

Did you check to see if you have a wire under you rear bumper? and any signs that may show something was fitted? as i guess the previous owner did the same as me and took it off but never told you about it. Its the fact you have a switch installed that makes me think this.

If your switch is the proper one for the car then i would imagine the fogs are built into the rear lamps as normal

i'm not sure - will have to take lights out and have a ganders :D

The proper UK one is built into the air vent surround to the left of the steering wheel.

  • 2 weeks later...

Im pretty much the same as Andy.

It's an ugly box of an aftermarket fog light, and the switch is on the right of the wheel where the UK one is I believe.

Have my fig mounted on a hinge so that when it isnt in use it folds up out of sight behind he bumper, but when I need to use it or for MOT I can just fold it down :)
