Well, i have a 5 door Carbon Quartz Aygo + to use for a few days, the RAV4's gone in for some warranty work , and i had the choice of a Corolla or an Aygo....so the Aygo it is then :D .

I had a 20 mile drive home from the dealer which was all motorway work, the 1.0 ,3 cylinder kept up well with the traffic flow, dropped it down to 4th a few time to get past some of the lorries, engine seems very quite even a 70mph, to be fair it did start to run out of puff up a few of the hills, but i can forgive it for that being a 50 bhp motor :) .

I hope to get out tomorrow, for a trip into town B) ...keep you posted

Its a 67bhp motor and the lack of hill cliimbing ability is more due to the lack of torque from such a small engine (the torque would have been even worse if it had been a 4 cylinder) - just drop a gear and you'll be fine. If you had a rev counter then I'd say keep at least 3000 revs on inclines but obviously it's a bit of guesswork otherwise. Just don't be afraid to rev it a bit as it doesn't use much more petrol.

Hope you enjoy it for the rest of it's time with you.

I stand corrected on the BHP figure  , by chance i had the spring copy of thr AYGO magazine drop on the door mat yesterday, and took a quick look at the power figures...50 is the KW figure and i now see 68 is the HP figure  .

Not sure on the magazines quoted top speed of 157 :o ....possibly a printing error :D .

...Must say i did miss the lack of rev counter, i see its only available on the Sport ! so guys what happens if you really want a rev counter, can the one from the Sport be fitted to other models ?.

Aygo went back today, overall a great little car.....but a few observations...rear parcel shelf a real pain when putting shopping bags in, and major reflection of dash onto windscreen in full sun , other than that another great product from Toyota (and partners) .
