Hi, judge_mental here, I hope I can eventually bring something to these forums as I gather experience of owning a Yaris 1.0 GS.

In the mean time I need a little help.

The Yaris I have is the 1.0 GS '2000' plate version and I love the car already but do not have the owners handbook. Can someone tell me what the correct tyre pressures are for the model?

Can somone also tell me which oil I should use please.

Can someone tell me how accurate the m.p.g. readouts are cuz according to mine this afternoon I was getting 99 miles to the gallon!!!00000013.gif

Cheers for any help given and I hope to reciprocate one day

Dont worry about your MPG reading, u'll prob have it set to the 'current MPG' setting which isnt that accurate. Mine sometimes reads 99 MPG too. The best way to check your MPG is by changing the setting to 'average MPG' instead, this gives off a more accurate reading. Hope this helps, Lew

Think the front pressure is 33 and the back 30...thats according to the goodyear sign at my local jet garage (i pumped mine up a bit today)

Oh and welcome to the club :)

Yep.. 33 front and 30 rear.. but you can change these a couple of psi either way to suit your own driving style.

You get the 99mpg read out when you are not accelerating.. the harder you put the foot down the less mpg you get.. you will notice your readout changeing when you accelerate and decellerate.. like said above, chane the readout to show average mpg instead of current mpg. (current = "this very second"... average = what you are actually getting in general)

Oil and filter change at 10,000 miles in UK but more frequently if used for lots of short stop start trips
