Athermic Windscreen

Does anybody know whether the 2005 Prius has an Athermic windscreen ? i.e. will a portable GPS navigation device with an internal aerial work inside the Prius ? I`ve done a number of searches on google and the forums with no luck.

ps. has anyone any experience of mounting such a device on the Prius (assuming the answer to my first question is `no it doesn`t`) ? - the windscreen seems to be quite far back.

Not sure about the athermic windscreen, but my Tom Tom with an internal aerial works fine inside my 2005 Prius.

Regards,

Dave.

Thanks Dave. It must be a normal windscreen - this makes sense since I guess it would be a selling point if it had such a windscreen (I know it`s a feature of luxury cars like BMWs) and it would be a sales pitch.

Thanks for that. I bought a Tom Tom One now and it works fine.

Just a thought though - I stuck my Tom Tom to the far right of my windscreen but notice that this is next to the air bag in the window frame (is this the curtain air bag?). Would the Tom Tom interfere with the operation of this air bag ? Has anyone got any experience of this (and survived) ?

Thanks
