After being radio-less for too long I've decided I want to return to 'stock'!

Anyone have or know where I can get a circa 94 Previa radio, cd be nice but I'm past caring to be honest!

I've tried the local scrappies but no luck yet.

The one I had has 58405 on it - doesn't work now - plus i'd need the white connector from the harness end the lovely man from the garage cut off.....

I'm off to check eBay now!

I recently purchased a Carine E Gli which happens to be fitted with a 58405 radio cassette (working fine) which I want out. (Already have a nice Kenwood cd/p3 player to replace it from my previous car)

Only catch is I dont have a clue how to get it out to put my one in...

Having changed radios in a number of prior 2nd cars I think it was going to be a problem when I got this last month, but the front is insent in a console area that I have yet to work out how to remove (and tbh I woudl not expect to have to move it to do a radio change), and the Haynes manual I got isnt exactly helpful either (no handbooks with car btw).

If you know how I can get it out without destroying it then it would be availabe for a small fee..

Hi chaps

Almost all Toyota radios are secured in a similar fashion. The dash centre above the ash tray and gear stick is usually fixed with spring clips, you may need to remove the gear lever gaiter and surround first, also secured with spring clips. Just pull and away they come. Behind the centre facia there are four screws that secure the radio brackets to the main dash frame. Once these are removed the radio will come forwards allowing the connectors to be removed from the rear. Be very careful when manipulating the radio case to remove the connectors. The surrounding trims scatch very easily and it's very difficult to hide them afterwards. Tape the front edges with masking tape or similar, if you don't have a steady hand. Hope this helps Cheers Ray
