Bloody Tail-gates

Has anyone had any problems with the latch on the tailgate of a KZN (lift up tailgate)?

I've tried to open it, but the handle is stuck in the open position, yet the door wont open. and now the handle wont return to it's original position :censor: :ffs:

I don't see how I can fix it if I can't open the door to get to anything!!!!!!

Open the window and climb inside, then remove the strap that hangs from the rear trim, 2 bolts hold the strap on, then just remove the plastic trim close the window and you should be able to get to the door cables.
