New Helmet...

Am thinking of getting a new helmet, it'll purely be for go karting and track days am thinking of a Chinese Fighter Pilot Helmet to be a bit different, what do you think, yay or nay :D

If it's purely for Karting then why not. I'd check that the karting places would allow this as it's not a specific BS approved helmet though.

Simpson lids aren't legal for road going motorbikes ( or they never used to be ) but most places would allow one of those.

Probably worth checking what's allowed before you lay down the cash mate.

Partly correct. The new Simpson "Bandit" range are road legal.

Still, it doesn't stop alot of bikers wearing them, as they are cool as funk!

When I had 2 wheels the Bandit was the cool helmet of choice, but so many people got stopped for wearing them up here that it became a bit of an annoyance. I think the police were having some sort of crackdown at the time.

I do know people who ( successfully ) put a Shoei logo onto a bandit and got away with it every time though. Happy Days !
