Hello everybody, just wondering if anyone had experienced any problems with their Aygo. I've had my Aygo black for about two weeks now, coming up to 900 miles. I'm going to go see the dealer asap as I'm having a few problems. Couple of normal new car niggles, odd squeek and rattle here and there, was expecting more from Toyota though. My main concern is the poor performance of the engine, over the last couple of days the performance has deteriorated drammatically, when accelerating the power just seems to die away all of a sudden, juddders and loses power ( no rev counter to indicate at what revs unfortunately) I'm guessing about 4000 rpm though about 35-40 in second gear. I hope it's nothing serious though as I really love my Aygo, hopefully mr T will sort it out.

Yes indeed, I'm a bit shocked to. Thought it may just be the vvti kicking in at first, but surely this would aid the performance of the engine.

Its hard to describe: as I put my foot down the car accelerates up to about 35 mph in second for example, the acceleration profile seems to change resulting in complete lack of power.

You know you should drive slowly the first 500 miles ey? ;)

Maybe you kicked it to hard in the beginning?

No warning lights on the dash?

Sounds like the engine is restricting performance as it thinks there is a fault. Probably just some sensor that has failed. There diagnostic computer should hopefully spot what is wrong quickly.

I would though take it in asap.

I wish life was that simple, unfortunately no lights on dash to indicate any problems.

Seems to be getting worse though, sounds like the engine is weezing cant get past 40 in 2nd gear. Have booked it in with Toyota for next wednesday as need to get the dodgy fuel filler sorted as well.

I'm wondering if the hot weather could be causing problems 34 degrees for the last two days, i.e hotter air temp therefore less dense air, resulting in reduced performance.
