Can any one on here help regarding the new Rav 4's sliding rear seat and the dog guard. Is the guard in a fixed position, or does it slide along with the rear seat??. (No help from dealer)!!

I will soon be geting an XT5 D-4D for on an extended test drive, so we can try the dogs(golden retrivers) in then.

Although the rav4 has a greater boot capacity than our currant passat estate, it's a bit shorter in depth!!

If the dogs don't fit then we my have to go for the X-Trail!!

your coments please.

Cheers

Ian,

In my MKII I have two holes by the back seats in the roof lining which the dog guard goes in, there is also two more behind the front seats so when you either tilt the seats or remove them you can have the dog guard behind you.

It doeas not move with the seats. The users of the new MKIII may shed some more light on it.... Keeps my Labrador happy he preferes to like the back window :drool::drool:
