Looking For An Ae86

Click on the link above to see an AE86 Jap import that I'm interested in - has anyone seen it in the flesh or indeed had any dealings with the guy selling it? It's on eBay as well, but it's also very far away from London and I wouldn't get to see it until collection if I end up buying it! It's actually cheaper than the price advertised on Driftworks too...

Unfortunately my T Sport isn't gone yet as my 'buyer' couldn't get insurance at a reasonable rate, so I've re-advertised it again... but I'm still on a RWD mission :D

I have a mate that will be selling a Uk spec Black 86 he has just brought another one so will need to shift his black one.

When it comes up I will mail you the details it in surrey so a bit closer.

If you fancy having a look round mine I can take you out make sure that you know what your buying!

Too late... I bought it anyway! :!Removed!: It went for £3750 so if it is rougher than described/looks in the photos, then it's not the end of the world! It's a late spec Apex, so if I spend a few £££s on it, which I intend to do, then it should turn out a good car I'm on the lookout now for the following parts:

4 x arch mouldings

front splitter (early or late spec)

rear UK spec lights

UK spec glass grille

Superlites (although I might buy a new set of gunmetal Rota RBs with polished lip)

K&N or Apexi induction kit (where did you get the elbow for yours Knowlson???)

Cusco strut braces

That would be me. I currently have a garage whos holding my car for a ransom. It's having a a new arch welded in and then it shall be ready. The guy is taking a while but once I have it back, I will take some up to date pictures and post it on a few forums. Thanks for the mention Knowlson. I have a front splitter that I will be selling and I might sell my Rs8's

I'm collecting the car at the weekend (once the funds are cleared! )

As for the splitter, if it's un-painted and in good nick I'm interested. I've got a price for a set of Superlites and tyres (€580) so I'm gonna go down that route I think.

Lastly, I can't see ANY aerial on my car in the pics (which are good quality), and neither can I see an aerial on 90% of the Levins/Truenos I have saved on my laptop! Weird...

No, what I was asking Knowlson before is where the aerial is on a Jap Levin... it's on the passenger wing on a UK spec car, and on top of the driver's side wing on a Jap import... only thing mine doesn't seem to have any! :D Is it possible it's built into the window surround as someone suggested to me? Just curious as I don't have the car yet to check! If it has none at all I'll do something like this (bee-sting type on roof):

Its possible one of the previous owners took off the aerial and sealed it up.
