Repair Damage To Corolla Boot Lid

Can anyone please help i have an 04 cts and someone recently screwdrivered rear window to try and steal something from my boot. Had it repaired via direct line repairer howard basfords ie replacing back window, new spoiler and cosmetic to boot lid. Collected the car last night but inside the boot lid on the top left hand side when open and main car body, I have speckled paint where it has not been completed during the repair.

Complained to rep from Howard Basford about this together with paint runs on the spoiler. They have agreed to repair the spoiler, but are agrueing over the lack of black paint finish on the inside of boot lid. I swore when bought the car that it was a full matt black finish around the inside of the entire boot lid and bodywork, this was not like it when i brought it too them. They are coming up with the excuse that the missing paint would have been like that when first made by toyota (load of boll****).

Took it into local toyota dealership to confirm that i was right and Howard Basfords were wrong, they agreed it would have a matt black finish alway round boot lid not partially finished as now. Spoke to direct line who said that would get a rep out to check my word against H Basfords. Not calling them liars but i know they are not fully completed the painting.

Can anyone confirm they have fully painted boot lids and its not me going funny !!

Yes mate, the whole lid is black the further inside you get the the more matt it becomes. So you're right and they should do it again for you. These bodyshops can sometimes try it on when it's an insurance job because they know they'll get paid and a lot of car owners aren't always that picky like I would imaging most if not all people on here are.
