Grinding Noise

Can anyone help, I have a grinding noise that sounds like a moving part that is turning with the front near side wheel. It starts off only when I'm turning right but progressively gets worse as the moving parts warm up. I have had the problem recently and found the wheel bearing was loose, I had it tightened and it has been fine for a while. This time about a month later it's much worse and there is a knocking sound when I accelerate. The mechanics say that the bearing isn't loose this time and that the knocking sound sounds like the drive shaft, but the grinding sounds like the wheel bearing. The first time I had this problem I had also had a very mild knocking noise when I first applied torque to the engine in each gear which is why I'm not 100% convinced by the drive shaft theory.

Does anyone have any ideas? The ball joint and the brake pads have already been changed.

it may be the big nut on the shocker where the silver rod meets the black outer has possibly come loose. ???????????????
