British Motor Show '06

Just returned from the motor show in Excel. Was pretty good but not the best. Still, lots of shiney cars all the same.

Toyota's stand was pretty cool as you'd expect. Lots of great Prius displays and engine cut outs. A pretty fancy Aygo modified into a mobile DJ booth was interesting. However they had a grand total of.... zero Celica's and MR-S's! Very disappointing. Other than in the car park, there was ONE G7 on the autotrader stand side by side with a very nice Supra.

All the usual Ferrari's (F40/50/60), Astons and Maclaren F1 were there amongst 3 SLRs and the new SLR wannabe.. the Pug 907!

Anyway, if you were going to travel a long way to go tomorrow or at the w/e I would only recommend it if you are really interested in ALL types of cars.

The highlights of my day were the new 700bhp Mayback one-off working concept car and free food and drink up on the sunny deck of the very swa-nky BMWs drivers lounge!

Nice paintjob and front grill, shame about the eyelids.

I went today thought it was pretty good although i was a little dissapointed with the toyota stand no MR2's or Celicas guess it is a sign of things to come hope they having something good up there sleves as i think the toyota range is rather dull at the moment with the exception of the Aygo.

The moded celica and supra looked good but for me the highlight although old now was finally seeing a tvr speed 12 for real shame they would not open it up. But on the whole a good day would recomend going if you can get the chance.

Oh and safe to say i thought the Number Plate on the Moded Celica brilliant wonder if they want to sell it ?
