Mmt Problem In D4d Corolla

I'm quite happy owner of Corolla D4D MMT from 2004 manufacturing year. One exception: MMT occasionaly (3 times till today) stop to work, flashing "N" on the dash display and a red gear dash light on. I have to wait for about 5 minutes with car completely switched off and after that I'm able to shift gears again.

I read some topics here and I realized I'm not alone with this problem. But - there is no display of the solution. Did someone solve it?

I have the same problem with my Corolla 2004. It happened to me once at the begginning (In the Warranty period) but they said they didn't find anything wrong. It never happened again until NOW. Now, (six months after the warranty has expired), they say I have to pay around 2.000 Euro to get the thing repaired. I'm really dissapointed.

Search the Australian TOC forums. all the answers are there. Toyota admit the problem but until they have enough complaints they arent gonna bother updating the software!

1. Would be interested to know when the fault shows. Is it during driving ,parked ,starting up or when?

2. Search under MMT in Australian TOC came up with nothing. URL to the problem posting appreciated.
