Firstly a big thanks to Alan (alangrim) for passing on the details.

The garage is called Tech-One and they are a Toyota Specialist situated in Sidcup 0208 302 0600 (Derek).

I had my Avensis MK1 serviced there today (Full Major - B service). They check everything and only do extra work that is necessary and with your permission. For example, they tested both my brake fluid and engine coolant. The engine coolant strength was still strong and the brake fluid required replacement so only that was done.

You can supply your own parts, or they can supply Toyota parts or ADL Blueprint – the choice is completely yours. They are extremely reasonable and I can honestly say I saved a bundle on my service. You get a proper Tech-One Toyota Specialist stamp for your book, and a full breakdown of your service and ‘Important Information’ which contains further items that may need looking into (eg brake judder, brake replacement etc).

There was a Camry, Celica, Estima, Hiace and two MR2 turbos and that’s just while I was there!

It’s been a long time coming, but I’ve certainly found a friendly, genuine, thorough and trustworthy garage who has certainly got mine and my families custom.

If your fed up of dealers who are just interested in your money and have forgotten what true customer service is then give him a try, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed. You can mention my name – he won’t have forgotten me :D

North Wirral (Moreton) has a good Toyota Specialist. Martin Rogers (part of the A1 Recovery garage), Tarran Way Estate off Pasture Road. He has looked after both my Celicas and soon to be looking after my Avensis now that my Warranty is over.
