Insurance For A Gtr Import With No Immobiliser

Hello,

I've got a gorgeous 1996 GTR import and want to insure it. However, I tried Adrian Flux but they told me that none of their brokers will insure it as it has no factory fitted immobiliser. Odd really as they insured it a year ago for me with no problems but there you go.

Does anyone have any idea where I can get my Celica insured without an immobiliser ? I've tried pricing a cat 2 up but it come in at around £250+VAT which is taking the proverbial.

Any help much appreciated.

Cat 2 for £250? I could get a Cat 1 for less than that!

I would get a CAT 1 done and fitted, you will have piece of mind.

I have a gtr import gen 5 and i go through a broker called Allen and Allen in Surrey, my car has an alarm and immob fitted but not by a thatcham approved fitter and they were able to quote me, just sent them the recipt for fitting that the previous owner gave me.

I will warn you though, if you intend to pay monthly they use a dodgy finance company!

My insurer is Highway by the way and you will need to speak to them on the phone as the gt-r is not on their system.

p.s. i'm 24 and my insurance is £600 fully comp parked on the road all mods declaired, clean licence and 6 years N.C.B
