Rear Suspension

Just been browsing the RAV 4 hand book it says the correct oil must be used or a clattering noise might be heard on tick-over? I must admit I can hear a slight noise after 2000mls what will it be like 20000mls? also 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 1st gear changes are notchy. This in my opinion is not acceptable on a £20000 vehicle!!

Not quite sure what this has to do with the suspension?

RAV 4 suspension is a firm but comfortable ride; is that better ?

I'm sorry I misunderstand your comment. Is it a question or a statement?

Regards

I think it goes way back to your experience with suspension and my experience with gearboxes! I offered to let you come and try my car as a comparison.

My new RAV does bump into certain potholes but it doesn't concern me. I find it a comprimise with good handling. Toyota RAV 4s have always had a good reputation for handling like a car but maybe they've tried a bit too hard for some tastes? They might have been better with adjustable ride settings like some cars have.

Are you happy with yours now?

Regards
