OK, latest problem with my Avensis, the Sat nav has stopped working!

I had to disconnect the bettery a week or so ago, and since recconecting it the sat nav doesn't work. The message on the stereo says "open door and check cd".

I do this, it spits the disc out which is clean, I then put it back in and close the door. It will then say checking CD for a bit and then go back to the original message.

If I take the CD out it does recognise that it is out and when I put it back in you can here the disc spinning up.

Anyone got any ideas?

Try take out CD, disconnect Battery (or sat from Battery at least), leave for a few mins, re-connect, put in CD...

Hi I had similar probs so I made a copy of the disc using Alcohol 120%, which you can use free for a limited period, and the copy worked fine, not sure what law in your country is as regards using a back-up of a disc you own?
