Stainless Exhaust

Hi,

Looking to buy a stainless exhaust for my ST185 ( cat back) just wondering if any of you fine people know where the best and cheapest place is to get one from.

Dont want one thats really load, you know the ones i mean when you cant hear the other person in the passenger seat when your going along at 4k, but i want it to have that nice deep turbo gurgle on idle.

Well i can only speak from personal experience. So that limits my choice to one then. ;)

The Scorpion system on mine fits the bill quite nicely. Throaty and relatively unobtrusive untill the engine comes on cam and the turbo is boosting then it`s like all the demons form Hades are invading your senses.

Sounds louder now i`ve removed most of the cars interior and fitted a de-cat DP. But ordinarily through most of the everyday rev range it`s well mellow . I`ve fitted a couple of Mongoose systems to different cars (Mitsi FTO and Civic Type R) and they also sound quite nice but i feel are lacking in the finish & fit dept. Both had to be adjusted slightly to get them to fit.

As for prices The Scorpion was 400 quid more or less and a Mongoose is around the same price maybe a little cheaper. Your best bet will be to shop around for prices.

Seen some on eBay for around 300 notes forget what make they are they look alright. but then again they mite not sound alright, i dont know.

Has anyone reading this on here brought one or know someone who has, if so please let me know what there like.

If it's the ones from XS-Power the 185 ones seem to be getting good reviews on the oc, however they are definately in the loud catagory

Not personally heard one myself but their 3" all the way through and said to be as loud if not louder than the blitz ones.
