Bumper Protection

We are getting an 02 Corolla T Sport the friday, and as we have dogs we enquired about some form of rear bumper protection, the dogs have scratched the top of the bumper on our old car, anyway the local Toyota place said that they have just the thing for us, apparently it's a film that is colour coded the same as they use on the rear corners of the door openings, but the downside is that it works out at just under £70, a bit steep we thought, so just wonderd if anybody has had the same problem or knew of an alternative product.
