Need Suggestions On A Few Items

Hi, I'm looking for a few items and was hoping I could take advantage of your knowledge for some advice on what to get. Basically I am suffering intermittently from the gear change problem and saw that a few people replaced their stock shifter with a short shifter and that solved the problem. Someone pointed me in the direction of fensport as they sell the trd shifter for £170 - is this a) the best shifter to buy and B) a decent price.

I'm also looking for some coils as I have an 03 cts with stock coils and it feels like I have the same ride height as a Land Rover. A friend of mine even suggested that I could probably make some money smuggling immigrants into britain in the wheel arches!! Basically what are a decent set of lowering coils to stick on the car?

Finally there seem to be plenty of front struts out there so does anyone have a suggestion about which one to get?

Any stockists names or websites would also be greatly appreciated.

i'm guessing your car is the prefacelift which doesn't have the lowered and stiffened suspension as much as the facelift. so can't comment on the suspension.

can comment on the shifter though. I can definitely recommend the TRD shifter, as i've mentioned before the throw is significantly reduce but also the play in the actual gear linkage goes down because the lever sits on metal bushings as opposed to rubber ones. You get a definite CLUNK when the gear goes in as opposed to a wishy washy feeling.

alternatives are the TTE shifter, and the B&M shifter. The B&M shifter simply shortens the throw. the TTE shifter reduces the throw and I believe it also comes with metal bushings.

However the big bonus with the TRD shifter is it comes with the gear linkage housing the TTE and B&M don't. so you have to fish the old lever out, I didn't really fancy that so iwent for the TRD option.
