Just Bought My First Toyota Avensis

Hi, I have just bought a Toyota Avensis 2 litre diesel T-Spirit and need help with understanding the Sat Nav and how it works. I don't have an instruction book though. Does anyone have a PDF file or something they can email me please? It's the TNS 300 Europe version that I have. I would be very grateful.

Lastly, the gear box was checked today and there are no problems but it feels very clunky to me. Toyota told me this is a common thing with the cars. Is that true? It seems to clunk in and out of each gear.

I'm also hearing a funny noise when I turn the steering wheel, a sort of whooshing noise. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
