Help Needed Urgently

hi every body i have a problem with my st205 in traffic it overheats but stops wen i turn on heating i have changed thermostat and still does it but i have noticed the fan dont cut in what can i do to fix this or were can i look as i have no idea wat i am looking for and i am surposed to be going on holiday in it tuesday please can any body help

Water pump! That's what it sounds like to me anyway.

it maybe the temperature sensor that runs to your fan , as a make shift measure to get you away you need to wire the fan to stay on constantly.

if the needle stays half way whislt driving and you have no back pressure or bubbling from the header tank i guess its just the temp sender

WERE DO I FIND THE SENSOR ON THE FAN THEN CHEERS

follow the wires from the fan and you'll get to it.

should be either in the radiator or the 1 of the sensors to the right of the charge cooler

well if you bridge te1 and e1 in the diagnsotics port , it will flash a code at you in 2 separate digits , count the first flashes then a longish gap , then it will flash some more , if its only 1 code it will repeat the sequence if more it will flash a different ammount of times.

i am sorry about this i mot no alot about nthis car were do i find this port and wen it flashes how do i no wat it means

its a black box with DIAGNOSTICS wrote on the top , its located at the top right corner rear of the passenger side in the engine bay

write down the number of flashes until it becomes repetative then thats your fault code . a list of fault codes and how to check is available at www.st205.net
