Hi all, just thought I'd say hello as I'm about to take delivery (19th) of an ex-demo RAV4 T180. I've been reading a few posts on here and it's been very informative.

As a starter can anyone tell me....

1) Is there an auxillary input for the stereo system so that I can plug an iPod into it?

2) Does anyone know where I can get the user manual for the T180 as I would like to read it before I get it this weekend? (yes I did say read it - I am one of those rare people that does!)

Cheers,

Gareth.

Hi Gareth, I've got a XT5 which is basicaly the same as the T180, there is no point for an i pod but the cd player is an MP3 player as well, so what i do is record about 150 songs on to a blank disc and play that on random. this might not be what you want but it saves carrying your ipod around with you, hope that helps Baz.

Well, I'm still waiting to take delivery of the T180. Aparently there was a delay in getting hold of the rear parking sensors. Anyway I'll now be picking it up tomorrow.

It'll be an interesting experience for me as I've been driving a TVR Tuscan for the last 5 years, recently sold for, err, family reasons :) and lately I've been driving the wifes Toyota Yaris so I'm looking forward to having a little more power underfoot again as it were! :)

I'll be posting my first thoughts of the T180 on here shortly...

Regards,

Gareth.

Hi all, well I took delivery of the T180 on Friday night and I must say I am impressed. Love the drive, love the features. Even the wife took to it quite well and she has only driven a Yaris before that. She'll be driving it every day during the week to commute to work.

We had a good long drive from Peterborough to Portland Bill at the weekend. Loaded full of scuba diving gear. Very glad I purchased the load liner as that will save a lot of wear and tear on the boot when its loaded with scuba cylinders.

Managed to sustain about 38MPG on the whole round trip and I was giving it a little throttle now and again :)

Only one problem so far and that is 20 minutes into the journey to Portland the Tire Pressure Warning system diagnostic light started flashing (indicating the tire pressure warning system had failed). I checked the tyres (just in case) at the next service station but all was fine. I'm now just driving around with it flashing until I can get it looked at.

Anyone any ideas? I do know that just before I picked it up they swapped one of the front wheels over for their garage one as it had a chunk out of it. Maybe they didn't add the new wheel ID to the system. I would have thought it an easy job to add it but aparently it is a dealer type job. Anyone know how to do it without going to a dealer?

I didn't manage to get hold of the manuals before hand but I've now read them all (sad, sad I know). Sat-Nav is excellant as far as I can tell, I like the little junction summary split-screen when you approach a junction.

That's all so far, I'll keep you posted on my progress.

Regards,

Gareth.

as posted i am waiting on t180

I have also a bmw 535 which has run flats when you get the light up on the bmw you have to go into the computer menu on the dash and rest the run flats then you have to drive approx 2 miles to activate the system the principle it works on is it measures the number of rotations of the wheel and if one is rotating more it must be flat (smaller diameter) hope this helps

ps any good sites to get info on t180 sat nav etc before delivery thanks
