HI

I just bought an 03 reg corolla tsport privately. When vacumming it out for the first time I found a Toyota Navigation System under the passenger seat - I was not made aware by the seller that the vehicle had SAT NAV. DOes anyone know whether the unit is there as standard and is not connected. Can't find anything in the manual. Can anyone help?

Thanks

Jo

Check to see if it has a DVD in it, then scroll through the trip computer on your radio and if it connected it will show up on your screen.

Unfortunately for us it's not standard ...... but your lucky by the sounds of it  !

You can get a cheap Toyota Sat Nav Discs on eBay - it will probably be the tns 200  !

*A part number would help

press the navi button and see if you get blurb about safety and stuff.

there are two sat navs out there, one is tns200 CD and the other is tns300 DVD.

if you have the former I can help you out with a CD if you don't have one.

have a nice day

Thanks for all the advice - I managed to buy a TNS200 disc from eBay which doesn't work so I will try to get hold of a TNS300 DVD.

Thanks very much.

Anyone want to buy a TNS200 cd?

Personally I would eBay the toyota kit and buy a TomTom - way better system.

i agree with john, the toyota system is a joke compared to tom tom.

there isnt many in house sat navs that are better than the after market sat navs, but for me I would sooner have it there ready for use when needed rather than at home cos you didnt think you would need it. I have used my TNS 310 more when out and thought I wouldnt need it than I have setting off from home with it on.

Its prefernce at the end of day although the tom toms ect are better If I had one it would only get used once in a blue moon. it would be sat at home most of time

plus you cant tell with the 200/300/310 that they are ftted

Take my tomtom everywhere but put it in the compartment under the armrest out of sight - takes about 20 seconds to setup, use it whenever I get lost which is frequent!
