Anyone Fitted A Subwoofer?

I want to boost the bass in my verso.

Anyone fitted a subwoofer? If so how do they connect up to the Verso's stereo?

Thanks

I'd like to do this to my Verso too but it would seem that with ICE and Sat Nav there's not enough space under the seats to fit...I think cost is ~£130 incl fitting which to my mind suggests quality is unlikley to be the best...would be interested to hear others views and experiences...are there any alternative ways of moderately increasing bass ?

do you want an OE fitment item or an aftermarket sub?

I don't mind, but I don't want a big box in the boot.

I don't mind, but I don't want a big box in the boot.

How about an alternative idea...

Peering through the grilles at the front door Speakers, they look pretty poor, only a one inch voice coil i reckon, so one option would be to simply replace these with some decent speaker units which are easy to find. I did this once with a citroen i had and it improved things considerably.

The snag is that it seems you have to remove the door cards to do this.

Any idea how easy/hard that is?

Hi -

I have found that setting the head-unit's fader control to level 5-rear, seems to improve the bass response for the front seaters. It works for me, but it obviously depends on how much bass you personally want.

Firstly Wardan I was quoted £230 plus fitting by toyota and was told that the toyota sub is lousy

secondly the only option is to fit an rca line converter on the speaker wires to create rca outs then you cac add whatever Speakers and subs you like and there are one or two subs about that fit under the front seat from the likes of alpine that will do the job just looking into it myself on my t spirit

Hi Joeboo, How did you get on with this ? Do you have full map sat Nav as this consumes pretty much all the space under the passenger seat..this is one of my problems i.e. no space.

Anyone know what size door Speakers are so I can get a feel for cost of replacing with quality alternatives...anyone done this ? Would be interested to hear as I understand if head unit is crap scope to improve is limited.

Comments welcomed. A removable active sub for the boot may be an option ?
