i am also looking for a replacement panel filter and need help deciding which one to get. i have found the following ones :

K&N

Green Cotton

Pipercross

Jetex

which ones have been tried and would be recommened. also is it possible to get a dry filter.

thanks for your help.

Ignition leads will do absolutely nothing for performance.

Maybe take some load off the alternator since the voltage drop MIGHT be less but no way on gods green earth you'll notice that

just to let you know the alternator doesnt have anything to do with the plug leads alternator is for charging circuit but plug leads are for delivering spark to plugs which is generated from ignition coil.new leads can improve spark assuming the insulation on the old leads is breaking down but like blacknight said you wont notice a difference.on the filter i would choose the K&N filter as they allways seem to come out on top on reveiws.

I've got a K&N panel filter. Noticed a very slight improvement in throttle response, not a lot though. Still, it should last a while.

as far as plug wires are concerned the improvement would not be discernable, however I would recommend the K&N drop-in filter which is lifelong and requires only cleaning and oiling with the recharger kit, I had a short ram with the cone filter which gave me good throttle response at the low end and a throaty exhaust sound but the car suffered heat soak at the top end, I replaced the short ram and installed the original airbox setup with the dropinandthe car is quieter with better throttle response at all levels, I'm now checking on the gas milage
