Slipping Alternator Belt

Hey folks

I just had my Avensis in for a 60k service about 3 weeks ago. I have now started to get some whizzing sound from the belts by the alternator. Not sure exactly which belt it is.

It sounds something like this:

http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/audio...e_belt_slip.mp3

However no screeching noise but something similar. Is it difficult/expensive to fix?

The sound does not go away its there all the time.

Any help is appreciated.

If it's just a loose belt ( not damaged/frayed/dying etc ) then it's a 2 minute job to do it yourself.

However, if it's only started doing it since the service then take it back and point out to them that it's surely more than a coincidence and they should tighten it up for you for free !
