SP9000's are bad, really bad. They might last 18,000 miles, but compared to the other tyres iv had they're really really bad. They wheelspin at junctions (even in the dry) and were very poor in the wet.

For the cost of two front toyo's (£60 at mytyres.co.uk) i thoroughly recommend that you try them... on the Yaris they're easily the best.

Also, track days don't teach you how to drive safely and effectivley on the road. There's one huge, terrifying, hazardous difference... other drivers.

Cheers i might try them next time as they seem quite cheap.

Yeah track is dif to road but shows you how to handle a car.

Spacial awareness and being able to 'predict' those around you is far more important than anything you can learn on track, on a track they all tend to be heading in the same direction and they're normally pretty good at stopping small kids jump out in front of you :P

Seriously... try em. I wouldn't lie.

A track doesn't teach you how to handle a car, it teaches you how to drive a car fast in a safe environment. Jenson Button started F1 before he had his drivers license... he could race, but struggled to handle the roads.

lol kids playing football on an f1 circuit :P

Well i think it does teach you how to handle a car as you can test its limits and what you can do if it goes wrong, in a safe environment and instructors can show you how to handle it.

Roads are alot more busy and have different situations that occur that you cant learn on a track only experience helps with that, i do agree with that.

Got 8,000 miles under my belt! building it up!
