Rav 4 02 Plate Alarm Problems

Hi all new here but ive been on Lexus forums for quite some time.

Ive got a strange problem with my RAV 4's alarm, it just keeps going off when it gets dark no matter what I do I cant stop it. Ive been right through inside and cant find anything wrong at first look. The boot button is ok as well by the looks of it. Ive had to disconnect the Battery and manually lock it but this is not ideal

what I want to know is has anyone else suffered similar problems and what did it turn out to be? im taking it in to the Toyota dealer to get it looked at Tuesday as its still under warranty

Could possibly be water ingress into the siren causing a short circuit n triggering alarm. The siren is located under the Battery tray. I had one in a few weeks ago and a new siren cured the problem.

thanks, took it in to the local dealer today and they confirm that a new windscreen was installed but not properly sealed and water has been getting in to the car and causing a voltage drop. they also said it was going to cost nearly a grand to fix up and that the toyota approved used car warranty might not cover it.

cant see why as the problem already existed when we bought the car and they didnt spot it in the used car inspections they do before selling the car.....
