Hi all,

got a few general questions after reading MANY threads on here.

I had :( a mkii supra prior topicking up the Lucida the other day, it's a 1992 2.2TD and from the looks of some threads they have as many BHG's as the supras - :)

So questions

1 for the supra we had the wrokshop manual online - is it available anywhere for the Lucida (2.2TD 3cte engine) and if not, why not? Can anyone supply us with a copy or is it a case of buy from the sites either recommended on here, or from what I have bought up on an internet search.

2 Will a local Toyota dealer do a general service on one of these, or will they 'er' and 'um' lik they did with the turbo supe - ie they just employ trainee 17 year olds who follow a video to service the cars these days.

3 Does anyone know a decent place that will service the Lucida in the NorthWest - preferably cheapish and like my old garage will pass on what needs to eb doen and problems I will get.

I am sure I will have more later, but thats it for now, oh just one last one, is the 20 quid membership for the TEOC worth it? The forum for the mkiiisupe was free but the to join the club was 12 quid - but after being on the board for a while found out it was worth it!

Hi Paul and welcome to this forum. This thread makes a recommendation for a service agent near you for the Lucida.

Your change from Supra to Lucida sounds like a life-changing decision - house or children? I went through this phase, as I suspect many did, and hope it won't be long before you've got the resources for Lucida and something a little more interesting ;)

In my case my wife decided that she liked the Previa so that left me free in choice of my own car; this strategy is highly recommended!

Thanks for that link, I will hopefully do my own servicing once I find the engine - :)

Well the Lucida is for my wife, I have her frontera now, so this will be sold and will buy a little runaround, so who ever has the kids then they get the Lucy and the lone one gets the little runaround. It was getting a bit expensive running two big cars and with any luck we will be emigrating next year to the Us, so will be a supra owner again then - just hope they have estima's or similar over there cos my wife loves it.

:)
