Can You Disengage The 4ws System?

Thought i would ask as i have been given an st183 4ws and the light is on constantly.

I have had to change the steering column as there were no keys with the car, the new column came off a gtr 4ws so i am sure to have connected all electrical plugs correctly. It also has had a new Battery so maybe something needs resetting? Does anyone have a clue what may be wrong if it was something daft and simple. I have seen the thread and will do the checks on the system this week but thought id ask in case id done something daft!

Got given the car after it lay dead on someones driveway for four years with no keys. Put a new column and Battery on and it fired instantly. Checked it over and took it for an mot the next week and it passed with only a bulb needed! Lucky or what.

Any advice would be deeply appreciated. Thanks John.

ive got a gen5,and my 4ws lights also always on,theres a button that says 4ws revs or somthin,dunno what its for tho
