Who has seen Best Motoring 7!?

I bought this DVD last week on impulse, and it clearly is the best car related DVD's I have ever seen. Including my "Option Video" collection wich is hard to beat.

This DVD seems to compare cars better than any other means I have seen. The final chapter of the DVD is a showndown / race on a mountainous road in japan (hill climb). There were approx. 10 cars, a cappacino, honda city, toyota vitz 1.5 s/c, toyota AE86, spoon civic, Integra type R, Toyota MR-S (2zzge stock), Toyota Celica (2zzge stock), Mazda miaita and something else. Each car is scored on handeling rather than speed. There are 3 different professional divers who take each car for a drive (to the limit) and rate the cars from 1-10 (in detail). Then an intial D stlye races between the best 6 cars.

The MR-S which is a MR2 with a 6-speed and 2zzge, is incredible it placed 2nd behind the famous 170hp Toyota AE86. This particlar race is one to look out for. Especially when you wanna know what your motor in RWD car performs like? Lets just say it preforms exceptionally well.

C-one celica, another 2zzge mill showing off it's advanced techology and handeling, rating well also.

I recommend this DVD, it's pure racing on tight roads will high performing cars + drivers..

Where did you buy the Best Motoring DVD vol 7 from? I'm in Sydney.

Aaron

You should find a copy at AutoBarn.

Im from Melbourne, I bought mine from a automotive technical bookshop, swanston st. City.

They are also advertising bestmotoring in local aussie mags, so watch out for those..

If all esle fails, try web searching...

Although would love to see these, when saying the Toya MR-S and Celica both have stock 2zzge engines wouldn't this change the handling of the car somewhat as they are not the standard engines and therefore add more weight to the back of the car...

Ahh, I remember that technical bookshop. Bought a Haines repair manual there before.

Is the Best Motoring DVD in English or is it Japanese with English subtitles?

Regards,

Aaron

If you have seen best motoring 7, it has a 190hp MRS which is a (1160kg) MR2 with a 2ZZGE engine, this is how the car comes stock in japan, known as the MR-S rather than MR2. Although the MR-S was set-up for the track (ie. suspension, tyre), it has the stock 2zzge motor and preforms quite well, ranking 2nd.

For your added info, the 2ZZGE wieghs 115kg, 10kg more than the 1ZZFE (VVT-i), so there's bugger all difference in wieght considering the 50hp power difference.

NA beasts rule!!

Japanese video with american voice over and english subtitles.

I will never watch a american \ aussie \ NZ DVD's the same again after watching these best motoring vids. Hence the name "Best Motoring"

I love the way in which these videos teach kids that power isn't everything, and how you should consider alot of different things before adding power to your car, like suspension, brakes, tyres and the best mod of all.... Driver. They show in Best Motoring 6 that a 1.8L Naturally Aspirated car can beat a 2.0L turbo car, 190hp Vs 320hp. These Videos premote the right kind of driving with the right advice...
