How Many Of You Have Taken Your Aygo To The Track?

Did it three times this summer, it held up nicely through the s-combos and hairpins, on the straights however it was a case of waiting for the next corner :D

All in all, still it was good fun, particularly when lining up in the pits with 911 GT3's and Ferrari 355's

Thanks, alloys are OEM items called Kelber or something like that.

LOL

125-135-ish km/h

I'd love to do smethng like that. UNfortunately, as I'm looking to maximise the sell-on value for the car when I get rid of it in 2 years, it's not really an option.

I am looking to get as much as possible from my 107 hence i have been to tracks on 3 occasions now. Here was the latest outing on a hill climb. Only performance mods are lowered 35mm with 195 45 tyres on 15" rims.

your car looks so much nicer with the body coloured bumpers. I see the 107 without colour coding and i think it looks ugly but it makes a nice finish on yours.

Lol, I'd love to take mine on the track... but didn't all the faster cars laugh at you? Lolz, no offence, but an Aygo would look ridiculous next to Porsche's and Ferrarri's etc. etc. :D

Money speaks in every language. Even Aygo.

I took my Aygo around the Nurburgring nordschleife, and I managed a laptime of 11min 30sec

(I also managed 9min 30sec in my mates new golf gti)

Who cares what anyone else drives, that was the second time I have made the pilgrimage to the 'ring and the banter in the 'pits' is great whatever car you drive!

It has to be said I drove past a broken down Ferarri 355 on track and I gave him a cheery wave and a blast of the horn as I went past!! :P

- That car has deprecited more than mine is worth!

One thing that is very noticable is that the large crowds that go to watch appreciate a humbler car being driven hard to every 911, RS4, M3CSL that just goes round (that goes round very quickly I might add, but you get my point)

& The Aygo was certainly less common than the 'exotica' that made up the rest of the car park!

ij!

There are some pictures of Japfest II at Donington last weekend at www.japfest2doningtonpark.fotopic.net including some or more of my Aygo :D

Whats the tape over the headlights for?

Whats the tape over the headlights for?

It's quite common for organisers to ask you to tape up your lights to hopefully prevent bits going everywhere in an accident.

I followed the instructions which were sent in the post, but at the briefing (after I'd got the car ready) they said you didn't have to tape it up.

Did you notice the matching red tape, though?

We didn't have to do this at Bruntingthorpe last year either. But hopefully people may have mistaken me for somebody who knew what they were doing

Bit of body roll, surprisingly little understeer, good brakes. I only have the stock basic model though, couldn't tell you about the lowering springs or bigger rubber.
