What Bulbs?

Hi,

Im trying to determine what bulbs my Avensis uses.

I have a 2003 2.0l Diesel T Spirit.

I think they are either H7 or D2S, but i dont really know.

The light output is pathetic so i want to order a HID kit from HIDS4U.

Yes. And im looking at it now.

It mentions

Discharge - D2S

and

Haolgen D7

but it doesnt specify if my car is halogen or discharge.

In ireland its H7 throughout the range should be the same in UK but not sure about T Spirit.

Agree that light output on low beam is crap. I installed a HID kit, slight improvement but nothing to get excited about. Previous model avensis headlights were much better.

When you say HID kit. Do you mean those blue bulbs ?

Or a full xenon conversion kit circa £200.

I mean the latter.

Im thinking its H7 also, as the discharge lamps have autoleveling and mine doesnt. I have a little wheel on the dash

I put in the full conversion (from same crowd) and would not recommend it to anyone, extra 200 for small increase in intensity. White lines etc. on the raod show up better with the blue but thats about it. There is a serious design fault with the headlamps on this model. I wonder if the new facelift has been improved.

Hello fellow welsh Avensis owner, indeed they are H7's and you'll need 4 of them, i've tried the Halfords SUPER BRILLIANCE (Gold Boxes) and i found them to be better then the STD and even xenon bulbs (altho it says Xonon gas in them) PLUS ATM they Buy 1 GET 1 FREE!!!!

Hence mr buying them :D :D
