Could someone please post pictures of the different MR2 Engines that came in the Mk2's and put the BHP near under them??

Im back into looking for a MR2 and didnt want to end up with one with a Crap Low powered engine as wasnt their 2 or 3 different engines used??

Look out for a 3SG-E or 3SGT-E (T for turbo) they are the higher powered models.

You DON'T want the 3SF-E that's the lower power model.

There's a sticker in the engine bay that tells ya what engines in the car.

Power wise an early model 3SGE is 158bhp, and later power was upped to 174bhp. Then the BEAM engine, easily recognisable and only found as standard in the last few MR2's knocks out apporx 200 bhp.

Have a ganders at the sticky regarding the MR2 revisions, and the info will be in there.

Wow, 450bhp!!!! Cant wait to see a video when its done, will be like a rocket :)
