Wtf Is That Light For?

There is a red led light down on the floor on the plastic in between my gearstick and handbrake. Had a look in the manual but couldn't identify what its for.

Ive never cn it flash when car is locked or unlock

My brother thought it might of been for an aftermarket alarm but why when the car has a factory fitted alarm and immobilser?

I think its for the alarm. The one on the dashboard with the word "Security" beside it is just for the immobiliser.

No, just the immobiliser afaik...

If the one in the centre looks like I think it is then its very possible that the small plug that goes into it is loose or hasn't been reconnected properly after the central console has been removed (adjusting the handbrake, for example)

i think its for the alarm cos my ts has an alarm and has a red LED near the handbreak, my mate who also has a ts that isnt fitted with an alarm doesnt have the LED

The red light is on the T Sport and indicates the alarm is set.

You will then have two flashing red lights when it’s armed and immobile, one on the dash and the one by the handbrake.
