Hoping to become a gt4 owner very soon and i'd really value some helpful tips on what to look for when buying one apart from the usuals!!

All help greatly appreciated!! :thumbsup:

This goes for the Gen 6 Celica (94-96)

Superstrut suspension! :lol: If you hear clunking from the front when going over bumps etc, then its likely the superstrut needs replacing, approx £300 per side just for the parts :!Removed!:

Rear diff mounts can go, again, a clunking, but from the rear, when coming on and off the throttle. Not as expensive at around £75 for the part....

Apart from that and the usual... make sure you aint getting the wrong smoke from the exhaust :yes: a little puff of black smoke when you come on boost is normal as these cars have a tendancy to overfuel...

I'm sure to have missed something, but someone will correct me shortly!! :lol:

Also check the condition of the radiator, light patches and stress cracks are a good sign it's on it's last legs £1-200 quid for a replacement stock rad :thumbsup:

nope , you wont find a rad starting from a quid for a st205 . maybe for a tonka toy in woolies. :lol:

i'd need a monacle as 1 of my eyes is glass. :thumbsup:
