After bying my Yaris I went to get a second key at Inchcape, When it was done l The manager or whoever asked if I would want to pay a certain amount a month to cover for the 40, 50 and 60,000 mile services it included a free MOT and could be transfered to anther car if I changed the Yaris, I forget how much the total was, 6 or 700 quid. Has anyone come across this ? and is it worth it?

I have heard of it - Inchcape are famous for it!

As for it being worth it, I suppose it saves the sting of a £200 full service bill - doesnt it only cover 3 years though? I'd say £600-700 for three years servicing & one free MOT is a bit much for a Yaris.... even if you can transfer it.... but surely there are limits on what you can transfer it to... I dont expect they'll service a Ferrari with it!

I wouldnt go for it.... seems a bit much - and what is the interest rate to pay by installments?

Just get it serviced at Envy! The best worksmanship, best products and best prices!

Even including the cost of petrol up there and back, a 50k service on my car including fully synthetic millers oil, Power enterprise oil filter, a full coolant change, all the checks and labour was £40 less than the quote i got from Toyota! (And that didn't include coolant change!) Plus, i don't have the hassle of waiting all day for them to do it to find that they've cocked something up, or lost something or charged me £4 for screen wash!

Envy had it done in about an hour and a half... Gaz made me and the missis a very nice brew, gave us an 'Endless' sweet, and i could sit and read copies of jap-mags from the past 3 years and all the lastest parts catalogues for the Yaris from all the best manufacturers in total comfort and then you get a teeny bill, a long list of all the checks done and a see-ya next time Graham. Yes, you will! Main dealer service is crap.

Depends how many miles you do really, as paying a monthly might work out more if your a low mileage

type of guy,

then again who knows how much we will be paying for our mot's in 3 years :shutit:

Like server says after 3 years of ownership you can take it to whoever you like,

but its best to take it to the main dealer up to 3 three years for your warrantys sake.

A few points - beware of Inchcpae Kidlington. Prices are "extreme" compared to other dealerships. You're still likely to save money on their service costs, by travelling to the dealership in Reading/ Northampton!

You've got a CDX, so unless you want a FTSH, you can take it wherever you like now!

£600- 700 is alot.

Average intermediate service is only £100, and full service £150 - £200, so you'd only expect to pay about £400 + MOT, unless you go to Inchcape Kidlington.

HTH - one disgruntled Inchcape Kidlington customer, who is taking his car to be serviced at Murley Autos in Stratford instead!

That does seem very steep in my experience, but personally I hate paying for things on the drip.

Depends on your car and your driving style really, although in 3 years I would have needed 5 service so with that deal (assuming there was no crummy small print) I would maybe have come out well. There is probably crummy small print though.

Probably the best thing to do would be to work out your mileage and number of service and then try and get a second c=quote from another dealer to compare.

what he said, I hate Inchape Kidlingtion, rather then just popping up the road to kidlington.

I drove from Oxford to London to get my first service done.

i know a lot about finance...(not saying how)...but i guarantee you that paying monthly will have a killer APR. same as insurance does, most insurers offer about 30% APR, loans or credit cards are much cheaper. i could be wrong but i doubt it. so just put that "would-be" monthly payment in a high interest savings account and make it work FOR you.
