Motorway Maddness

Hi folks

Just thought I'd drop in with some news. The last two weekends have seen me, the missus and the supe treking off east. First a weekend in York followed by a weekend in Scarborogh. Not that interesting but it is the furthest I have been in the supe. (the futhest I've driven ever was in a pontiac grand prix, nice motor with 4 litre supercharged)

Nothing went wrong and the last jaunt was 410 miles. That was nearly two tanks of fuel, about 25 mpg!! Hurrah. All motorways (M58, M6, M62, M60, M1, A1(M)) done with cruise control between 60 and 70 mph. What a fantstic crusing machine. Usually go camping to Scotland in the Escort but always arrive knackered.

Not this time baby. My missus sufferes from a spinal injury and she was delighted with the journey.

Next weekend we are off to Aberyswith. :)

Why can't I get into top gear overdrive around town which would save me fuel?

Regrads

Michael

Ern normal town driving you do go into overdrive... (cruaising at 40 or so)

if you were stuck in 4ths any slower it would use more fuel!
