My 89 camry 4 wd efi stalls (barley runs) upon cold start and is fine after warming up within approx 1-2 mins. I can't drive it until that time has past. It has been suggested that it is the throttle body sensor that is the culprit. Does anyone know about the removal of that part. Since it is expensive I am looking at the bone yard to be cost effective but I don't know about the EFI (high pressure). Is there a way to be safe in the removal of the parts of the EFI system so that the air pressure is not a harmful factor when removing those parts that are part of it? Also when I disconnect the throttle sensor the car runs much better but it does not have much pick up but it does not stall.
