Can anyone tell me if removing the rear banges on a mkii 2 will leave any marks or holes?

Removing Badges won't reveal any holes, the badges are stuck on using foam pads. You may be left with a little glue. I used T-Cut to remove this, be careful though, you don''t wan't to rub through to the primer - also be wary if it is metallic, you don't want to rub through the lacquer coat!! If you car has faded, you will see the shape of the Badge when it is removed (since the paint behind the Badge has been hidden from the sun. If it looks really bad i.e. on a Red car you might need to respray the panel - though colour matching will be nigh on impossibe.
