Tyre Sizes

Does anybody know if 195/45/15's will go on standard Yaris TS wheels? they currently have 185's on and low profile tyres are difficult to find and quite pricey in that size.

i want a set of Yoko A539's which ive had before on a previous car and are mint!

I'm not a man of many words, so i'l keep this to a sensible short answer. I won't go on about my previous sizes of tyres or which is the best make, whatas good in the wet, nor will i take the thread off in a random direction and not answer you question simple and directly. I'm definately not going to beat around the bush and talk about myself and how good my car is. I'm just going to give you the best honest advise i can give you. So in conclusion to your question, about the tire size issue you present, there can only be one pratical and short answer.......................

eg..

195x50/15 can go on rims between 5.5J and 7J

You have to remember that some tyre sidewalls are stiffer than others, with a stiffer wall it will be more difficult to fit it onto a narrower wheel.. but go too wide and it can be difficult to inflate the tyre.

I read somewhere that having different tyre sizes other than the manufacturers recommendations can void you insurance.

Contact your insurance company if you are unsure or to double check.

a 205/45X15 tyre can go on any rim thats between 7J and 8.5J. the rim size will be stamped on the wheel somewhere (either near the stud holes or on the back... eg.. 7Jx15)
