very clean and smart

What is the colour - looks like a very subtle Gold/Silver two-tone effect with bumpers and door strips?

Wanted to show off yesterday evening's handiwork, which involved fitting a front "push bar" as supplied by the excellent Kingo  to the better half's Rav4.2. Unlike my side step fitting fiasco, this time I carefully RTFM and everything went swimmingly well. Toyota even mark the drilling points on the inside of the bumper so there's no measuring at all, so it's suitable for dummies like what I must have become.

So, thanks to Kingo we now have side steps, push bar, mudflaps and even an oil filter and cabin air filter. If it stops being so wonderfully sunny this (long for us in Ireland) weekend, I'll do an oil change as well. Never let it be said that I don't know how to spoil a girl...... :boxed:

Looking nice, Robert  - word on the Nudge bar ... the bottom chrome strip is just fixed on by 3 sticky pads I think and you see a lot of the nudge bars with that bottom strip not there - so probably fallen off! Keep an eye on it

Thanks Hoovie - you're absolutely right! The stainless steel embellishment on the top of the front bar is held in by a couple of tiny screws; they are almost invisible as they face the radiator grill. I said to my better half that I'd drill a couple of small holes and do the same on the lower piece which, incidentally is an extra so you have to order separately from the main item. You'd never see the screw heads and it would save driving over it when it fell off! Not that I don't trust 3M, of course

ah - I didn't know that it was an optional extra ON an optional extra !!

So maybe not as many have fallen off as I imagined ;)

When I spotted mine was only being held on by the middle sticky pad alone, I used a pop-rivet in each corner to secure.

(My Side Bars have plastic ends, and those black caps keep working loose and I have to quite often replace the pop-rivets on those as well)

I'll invest in a pop-riveter, so (as they say in Ireland.... ) (it's the "so" bit that Oirish, BTW)

HELP, already read the advice on joining photobucket and then pasting the link after clicking on the 'picture' button, but it doesn't seem to want to work for me!

Just wanted to show off my nice shiny girl after I polished her. My hubby still can't believe that I polished her, let alone only 3 days after picking her up!!!

Any advice would be good, thanks Lel

Hi Lelly, welcome to TOC, have you read Chatmans excellent tutorial on uploading pictures ? Its one of the pinned

topics at top of the page. Are you copying the direct link from the photobucket image ? And are you pasting it to

the correct place ? Its the icon between the two small green cross icons.

Good luck.

Nice RAV4, Lelly

Here is a full-frontal of mine at a similar angle to your new baby - very similar colour as well, so you can compare "before" and "after" :)
